Awards will honour women living in Qatar and excelling in their vocation
Singapore and Qatar based XPLUS Inc Pte Ltd launches this Sunday (March 8) in Doha Inspire Awards 2020 to honour women living in Qatar for outstanding achievements in their chosen vocation.
XPLUS introduces Inspire Awards 2020 in Qatar on International Women’s Day, a day marked by the United Nations to honour women’s contributions to the global community in various fields.
Speaking at the launch event, XPLUS Director Nishad Kadher said, “XPLUS Inspire Awards 2020 honour outstanding achievements by women living and working in Qatar in their respective fields of excellence. People living in Qatar can nominate ladies who have done excellent work in 18 categories.”
XPLUS Inspire Awards Project Head Anu Sharma said, “More than competition, XPLUS Inspire Awards 2020 celebrate excellence of brilliant women. They could come from diverse field such as technology, the arts, culture, health, media and sports. Any woman living in Qatar with excellent achievement and standouts as a role model in her chosen field qualifies. These awards are an opportunity for XPLUS to provide a platform to honour top female talent in Qatar.”
A jury comprising corporate and community leaders will select the winner from the nominees listed in each category.

Business: This award honours dedicated businesswomen thriving in Qatar. It is open to employees of public, publicly quoted and privately owned organisations.
Community Spirits: This category recognises the extraordinary and varied contributions of traditional “public servants”, charity and volunteer workers.
Education: The nominee will have developed notable educational practice, promoted or delivered programmes individually or institutionally.
Entertainment: The nominee combines wit and creativity through her content to spread happiness and hope to her audience.
Entrepreneur: The jury will look for candidates who run a business and show they have the ambition, skill and vision to succeed.
Female-Friendly Organisation: The nominee has contributed innovatively to women’s causes and development.
Health: This award honours women who make a significant contribution in medicine and likely to reach the top of their field.
IT & Technology: Nominees will have displayed leadership, innovation and quality in their work.
Inspire Her-Abilities Award: A special woman, who despite her disabilities inspires by her positive contribution to the community, workplace, family or just her own life.
Law: The nominee’s work in Qatar’s legal practice standouts for upholding justice and equality.
Lifetime Achievement Award: It recognises an extraordinary woman’s contribution that strengthens people lives and place where she lives through her time, talent and gifts.
Media: The nominee will have outstanding published work.
Science: This category recognises a group of remarkable female scientists who forge a new ground in research and scientific achievement.
Sports: This category recognises rising female sports stars of Qatar.
Start-up: The nominee runs a well-planned business based on innovation and creativity.
Young Achiever of the Year (25 and under): People can propose candidates from school, college, workplace and community to this category.
